The credit card company upped my limit on my maxed out credit card!!!!

So the credit card company was deciding how much they were going to up my debt limit since I recklessly maxed out my card. The humorous thing about this is that the very people deciding my fate were deciding for the creditors and not themselves. They couldn’t decide by how much they were going to up my credit limit. I couldn’t understand the problem. Many times in the past I would spend so much money that they had to meet many times in order to increase my limit. It was never a problem. One side said they would increase it by 2 trillion dollars. This came with strings attached this time which I wasn’t use to. I could spend the same amount as always plus about three to five percent more. I was actually going to get about seven percent but they decided to cut my increase….those mean bastards. The other side said they would increase it one trillion and were going to come up with a plan to get my spending under control…..can you imagine? As long as I cut my future growth in my spending habits and the other side said one trillion and they would come back and see if I was making progress in my spending habits. I’ve got news for them. I’m going to need about 10 trillion dollars more then I plan on earning and I will veto their plans if they don’t agree with me. The nerve of these people to try to cut my deficit people. Where do they think they live? In the real world?

The News Corp hacking scandal seems to grow larger everyday. It seems like that while the entities that make up News Corp are cautiously covering this story the rest are covering it like vultures over a carcass. It seems like there are a lot of stories where anonymous sources are used. One has to wonder sometimes, whom the sources are. My point? If I were the head of these other “vulture”news networks/publications/blogs/etc, I would be doing an eternal investigation to make sure the same thing isn’t being done throughout the industry. Human nature being what it is I am sure there is more out there……stay tuned. Hopefully, there won’t be an over reaction to all of this to the point where the smarter than us government officials start to chip away at the freedom of the press.

If there was ever an area Democrats and Republicans can come together……

Landmark US-Mexico trucking agreement resolves 15-year conflict

This landmark US-Mexico trucking agreement isn’t about free trade. It’s about our nations sovereignty. It will hopefully die a quick death when it reaches the United States Congress. That is only going to happen when we Americans tell our congressperson “just say no”. It’s bad enough that we are already transporting everyone else’s cargo around. Now we want them to bring it in themselves? I am as “free trade” as they come but not when it comes to the safety of our borders. It doesn’t matter if it’s the Mexican or Canadian border. We seem to be the only country that allows our borders to be purposely porous. For some reason we care what Europe, Mexico and the rest of the world thinks when it comes to our sovereignty. Well here’s the dirty little secret. Europe is fighting to keep out the Roma’s and other other Eastern European nationalities and Mexico has one of the strictest immigration laws in the world. Do I even need to mention the Middle East or china? Look it up, read about it but don’t get caught there illegally. The truth is that whether it’s Mexican’s, German’s, African’s, Spaniards, Chinese or any other nationality it is wrong to be in the United States illegally. The rest of the world can look into their self righteous mirrors before they look down on the United States. It is understood that anyone who would dare speak out about this is a racist. Contrary to this offensive conclusion anyone who would come to the conclusion that this is racist is merely using the issue of race to get what they want. We need immigration in this country and we need a good immigration policy. We can’t just open up our borders and say come on in.

So when the powers that be try to tell you that this is good for free trade, don’t believe them or me without doing some homework on the matter. This is about breaking down borders and the American way of life. A way of life that is guaranteed by our constitution for all Americans despite race, religion or lifestyle. This issue seems to be quietly implemented and it needs to be stopped by Americans loud and clear.

Women set back decades……

Men, love your wives and girlfriends and protect them as you never have before. Parents do the same for your daughter’s. It is a shame that if a women is raped or sexually assaulted that she had better check her background before going forward to tell of her account. I understand that it works both ways. There are women who falsely claim rape and thus set women back years too. But to read that prosecutors plan on dropping all charges against DSK is just appalling. If the actual facts and physical evidence are true in this case, then her background shouldn’t matter. This man is going to walk. The lesson to men is that if you’re going to commit this type of crime then make sure to check out the victim’s background first. I know we have the best system in the world but it sure has some weak links. I’m not sure why I’m surprised by all of this on a day when Casey Anthony was found “not guilty”. Pardon my french but what the is going on?

What if……

We were visiting a small town in France yesterday when my wife asked someone from group of students where he was from. There was silence. When prodded a little his head dropped in the look of embarrassment and he said “America”. I was really taken back by this. Pardon my French but why the would anyone be embarrassed to be from the United States of America? We aren’t perfect and we have some very difficult problems to overcome……but we will overcome them as we always do…..as long as we have the freedom to do so. On this 4th of July when the United States celebrates with cookouts, fireworks and reflection of what it means to be free, wouldn’t it be nice if the rest of the world held a debate on “what if?” What if the United States never came into being? What would the world look like today if the United States of America never existed? What would Europe look like? Would emerging countries be emerging? Would there be more hunger? I wish I could find that student again and ask him that very question. The French are proud of their country, as are the British, Italians, German’s etc. They should be proud…..but so should American’s. May we continue to be the beacon of hope for the world and the model of the success that can be had when freedom reigns.
